Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Digital Marketing with a specialized focus on Organic SEO to significantly enhance our global digital presence and drive sustainable growth. This pivotal role requires an individual who is not only a strategic thinker but also possesses deep, hands-on expertise in all facets of organic search, content optimization, and community engagement. You'll be instrumental in developing and executing strategies that maximize our organic reach, improve search engine rankings, and attract a highly relevant audience without reliance on paid advertising.


Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

I. Organic Content & On-Page Optimization

  • Comprehensive Content Strategy: Develop and manage a robust content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality, relevant, and SEO-optimized content across all platforms. This includes blog posts, articles, web pages, and other digital assets.
  • Text Optimization: Lead the strategy and implementation for optimizing all website text, blog posts, and other written content for improved readability, user engagement, and higher search engine rankings.
  • Image & Visual Optimization: Ensure all website images, digital posters, and visual content are meticulously optimized for quality, loading speed, and search engine visibility (e.g., alt text, file size, relevant naming conventions).
  • Internal Linking Structure: Strategically plan and implement an effective internal linking structure to enhance content discoverability, improve site navigation, and distribute link equity across relevant pages.

II. Advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Off-Page Activities

  • SEO Leadership: Lead the entire SEO function, encompassing in-depth keyword research, technical SEO audits and implementation, on-page SEO best practices, and sophisticated off-page link-building strategies.
  • High-Quality Backlink Acquisition: Develop and execute proactive strategies to identify, outreach to, and acquire high-quality, relevant backlinks from authoritative aviation and career-related websites to significantly improve domain authority and search engine rankings.
  • Directory & Submission Management: Manage strategic submissions of our website to highly relevant and authoritative industry directories, search engines, and specialized platforms to boost online visibility and credibility.
  • Citation Building & Google My Business (GMB) Optimization: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for building consistent and accurate online citations across various platforms, with a particular focus on optimizing and managing our Google My Business profile for local SEO and enhanced visibility.
  • Content Indexing Acceleration: Utilize appropriate ping submission sites and other techniques to accelerate the indexing of new content by search engines, ensuring timely visibility.
  • Authoritative Platform Engagement: Explore and manage submissions to relevant Wiki sites or other high-authority platforms to establish thought leadership and secure valuable backlinks where appropriate.

III. Organic Social Media Engagement & Community Building

  • LinkedIn Thought Leadership: Develop and publish engaging, authoritative articles and long-form content on LinkedIn to establish FlyingCrews.com and AlfaBloggers as thought leaders within the aviation careers space.
  • LinkedIn Engagement Strategy: Drive organic engagement on LinkedIn through strategic content sharing, active participation in relevant groups, direct interactions, and fostering a vibrant professional community.
  • Interactive Content: Create and manage interactive elements like LinkedIn polls to gather insights, boost audience interaction, and generate organic discussion.
  • Holistic Social Media Presence: Oversee the organic content calendar and engagement strategy across other relevant platforms (e.g., Twitter, YouTube, aviation forums) to amplify reach and community building.

IV. Organic Listing & Directories

  • Industry Classifieds & Listings: Manage and optimize our organic presence on relevant aviation industry classified ad platforms and job listing sites, ensuring detailed and compelling profiles to attract job seekers and recruiters.
  • E-Classified & Niche Listings: Strategize and optimize our listings on specialized e-classified and niche career platforms to maximize organic visibility for specific aviation roles.

V. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) & Organic Analytics

  • Organic CTA Optimization: Design, rigorously test, and continually optimize effective Call-to-Action (CTA) elements within organically driven content and website pages to improve conversion rates (e.g., job applications, resume submissions, newsletter sign-ups).
  • ATS Readability (Content Perspective): While Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are primarily an HR function, understanding how they process resumes and job descriptions is valuable. You'll ensure our organic content and job postings are optimized for ATS readability, making them more discoverable and appealing to job seekers.
  • Organic Performance Analytics: Track and analyze key organic KPIs using advanced web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush). Provide regular, insightful reports on organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and user behavior to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI.

VI. Digital Presence & Management

  • Linktree Optimization: Manage and optimize our Linktree or similar consolidated link platforms to ensure streamlined access to our most important organic content and resources.
  • VCard & Digital Business Presence: Ensure accurate and optimized VCard information and a strong digital business presence for improved visibility and professional networking.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • SEO Expertise: Proven, demonstrable expertise in all aspects of organic SEO, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, off-page strategies, and advanced keyword research.
  • Content Marketing Acumen: Strong understanding and practical experience with content marketing principles, including content strategy, creation, optimization, and distribution for organic growth.
  • Analytics Proficiency: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to track performance, interpret data, and derive actionable insights.
  • Backlink Strategy: Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful, ethical backlink acquisition strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex SEO concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic & Tactical: Ability to think strategically to identify opportunities and execute tactically to achieve measurable results.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to interpreting data and making data-driven decisions to optimize organic performance.
  • Industry Trends: Up-to-date with the latest trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO and broader digital marketing.
