Captain Poonam Gaur's two-decade journey in aviation is a powerful narrative of ambition realized.  Starting as an air hostess, she transformed her dream of flight into a reality, ultimately becoming a commercial pilot and then Co-Founder of Air Taxi.  Her career progression is a compelling example of inspiration and advancement within the aviation industry.

"Your dreams do come true, you just need to see them," says Capt. Gaur.  Her own vision propelled her from the cabin to the cockpit.  Recognizing her desire to be at the controls, she earned her commercial pilot license from the USA and her Indian CPL in 2009.

Capt. Gaur's career demonstrates a commitment to professional growth and a thirst for knowledge.  She served as Flight Operations Head at Sanjay Kakade Group, gaining valuable experience in the intricacies of flight operations management.  She then expanded her expertise at Martin Consulting LLC, a Dubai-based Aviation consulting company, where she held the position of Senior Associate in Flight Performance & Airline Operations.  In this role, she led the Fuel Burn and Cost Optimization Study for TAROM Romanian Air Transport in Bucharest, Romania.  Her contributions included the development of critical flight operations processes and Airport Operations Standard Operating Procedures for TAROM.  She also conducted an operational and financial review audit of the domestic non-schedule operator, Air One Charter.  Her technical expertise is further underscored by her certification as a Rotax Engine Maintenance and Service Technician.

In 2014, Capt. Gaur's entrepreneurial spirit led her to Air Taxi, where she joined as a shareholder and director.  Her vision for revolutionizing air travel in India sparked a new ambition: to establish a groundbreaking air taxi service.  Recognizing the potential for such a service to connect underserved communities and stimulate economic growth by attracting business investment, tourism, and human capital, she dedicated herself to co-founding Air Taxi Services.  This innovative concept aims to provide vital air connectivity to previously unconnected regions across India.

Capt. Gaur's commitment to enhancing travel experiences in India extends to her involvement with Citrus Air Pvt. Ltd. and Tecnam India.  She is the Co-Founder of Citrus Air, an authorized dealer of C.A. Tecnam, a world-leading general Aviation manufacturer.  Citrus Air and Tecnam India have joined forces to launch India's newest Air Taxi Service, utilizing a hub-and-spoke model to connect major Airports with Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.  She also serves as the Sole Dealer of Tecnam Aircraft for India.

Earlier in her career, Capt. Gaur honed her customer service skills and gained invaluable experience as a Lead Cabin Crew member at IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd), a Senior Cabin Crew member at Air Deccan, and as Cabin Crew at JAGSON AIRLINES LTD.
